Close, but I will continue my one blog a day! Today I've got a round up of things I'm loving for summer.

This little beauty hails from IKEA. At $29.99, it is small enough and cheap enough to handle your bonfires and still leave you with $$ leftover for some wine and dessert.
I love the modern lines and its low profile.

Next up are string lights. I like these cafe lights from World Market -->
(http://www.worldmarket.com/product/cafe+10-bulb+string+lights) instead of regular lights because of the little tin hats- perfect for being unique in a world full of Pinterest copycats.
As illustrated below though, string lights are basically necessary for evening fun and entertaining!

Also fun? An outdoor rug. You can find them anywhere, but with a kid, and a dog who loves to chew, I have something different in mind for our house. So I loved stumbling upon this DIY- a painted rug.

It is so easy and fun! I love the tassels. It would be super cool to do a multicolor rug, or do a circle/square, whatever works for your space. Bonus: The chippy aged look it would develop over the years, and the ease my son could have "helping" with chalk for different parties.

Also necessary for summer?
Any of these pool floats. Nothing says summer like laying out on a flamingo, or lounging on a pretzel.
These would be fun at Lake Tahoe, Folsom, or in your own backyard pool. Extra fun if you play volleyball with the burger ball, or have races between the flamingo and the swan.
Use the pineapple to keep things cold- it is a cooler!
I've also seen the pizza slices put together for a massive, floating pizza pie. I'm saying, I don't know if there is anything cooler than doing that one day on the lake, but thats just me.
Unfortunately, snacks aren't included.

For keeping yourself cool, I recommend wide leg linen pants from Old Navy. They're lightweight, breezy, and the white reflects the suns rays, keeping you cooler.
They're only $19 right now, so stock up!
What else do you need for summer?
